In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing the operations of a 100-person plant that produces indoor grown lettuce. I successfully transformed the manufacturing process from 100% manual operation to a 100% automated process that resulted in a 50% reduction in staffing, reduction in product loss by 65% and reduction in operational hours from 24 to 14. Through culture change, we were able to improve safety and reduce our total incident rates from above 5 to less than 1.
