Working as a commissioning leader across planned care and jointly commissioned services, ensuring that pathways provide high quality, efficient and effective care. Understanding gaps in service and where appropriate commission suitable additions to the healthcare economy to meet the needs of the patients served.Redesigning pathways to ensure care is seamless from the first contact to the last, ensuring close integration with primary, secondary and community care. Engagement across all stakeholders and the wider public to ensure pathways are clear and understood, whilst at the same time ensuring compliance to pathway management.Leading the urgent care system to ensure appropriateness of use and maximum potential is recognised from admission avoidance schemes. Working with acute trusts to support effective internal flow and discharge planning whilst also ensuring that the back door discharge system is sympathetic to the internal work.Minimising Delayed Transfers of Care to allow the trust to deliver against its core transit time target and fundamentally, deliver high quality care within the A&E department. Further supporting the three community hospitals to reduce LoS, internal delays and DTOC to maximise system wide flow.
