Former British Army Officer with 35 years experience. Has organised, managed and delivered subject specific training and advice world-wide, to groups ranging from 14 years to 55 years of age and in numbers from 1 - 5000 from the Falkland Islands to North Wales, passing through the Middle East, Germany, Africa and Canada in between! Already now 5 years into a strong transition to the civilian workforce, in the operational and leadership space.I joined the British Army as a 16 year old boy in 1983 and served 10 years in the Royal Engineers and 25 years in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps. I retired from the military in October 2018. I am always keen for new challenges, involving work in UK or abroad, in places of challenging infrastructure that require assistance with management, risk, security, safety, assurance and anything requiring an adaptable mindset. I will also work super short 'arrive, assess, fix' contracts. I am pleased to have assisted and helped steer the senior management team at Venari Group and lead some truly exciting projects. From rapid response to COVID-19 testing units - UK wide to providing time critical, armoured ambulances and search and rescue vehicles for the conflict in Ukraine, and serving the wider emergency services community. Emergency response vehicle technology is experiencing some great and timely advances and this is the perfect time to be actively involved. I now move onto an even more exciting opportunity with NORTH FIRE and involvement with further special projects that expand both opportunity for the business, the emergency service operators and indeed my own development in this fast paced and ever changing sector!
