In this company, I started off as a Customer Support Agent providing assistance for Landline and Broadband Faults, Billing issues and other queries from BT customers in England. I was on the floor for 3 weeks when I received a promotion to ‘Floorwalker’. This role included helping new advisors on the floor with system knowledge and other information to help them resolve customer issues.I was then promoted from this role to the role of ‘Mentor’ for the now 400 strong staff the company employed. A supervisor role in which I now perform 1:1 coaching for agents struggling with certain aspects/procedures with the job. I handle ‘Nesting’ sessions for new teams which is a 2-week, post-training class for 2 hours a day in which I push procedures and policies and the maintenance of their daily/monthly KPI’s. I provide cover for TL’s who may be absent and handle their team for that period, taking on the managers’ ‘Customer Escalation’ queue. I still also provide on-floor support for agents and the queries they may have.
