Supervising all aspects of mine site team management, maintenance, planning, installation and statutory compliance. Implementing electrical maintenance programs, scheduling frequencies, statutory tracking and record keeping.

Responsible for providing supervision, maintenance planning, installation/upgrade design and planning; as well as hands on performance of maintenance tasks, breakdowns, installations and upgrades.

Icon Electrix maintained a service contract with DBP, undertaking various electrical works and system upgrades across all compressor stations. Projects undertaken for DBP included upgrading and retro-fitting switchboards based on associated risk assessments; relocation and replacement of starter batteries for station gas turbine generators; replacing 24Vdc and 110Vdc battery charging, monitoring and ELV distribution boards.

Icon Electrix was engaged restarting production after a seven-year hiatus. Undertaking tasks included a complete investigation of the camp, plant and associated surrounding infrastructure to provide costings and scope. Complete responsibility for Mine Site compliance, electrical workers and refurbishment delivery.

Supplied contractor service and support at various projects as Project Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor for installation work, team management and commissioning. Projects included:Rio Tinto – Mesa J Iron Ore Site; Barrick Gold – Granny Smith; Electro 80 – Perth Offices and Workshop.

Supervised and managed up to 12 electrical workers including TAs, programmers and mechanical support. Liaison and management of Electrical Contractors utilised on-site. In charged of legislative compliance, plant shutdowns, maintenance schedules, parts and materials, work orders, incident investigations, report findings and controls implementation.
