Teaching role for Park Lane College on the seminal and groundbreaking "Esteem Project". A collaborative project with West Yorkshire Probation & the approved premises across the Greater Leeds and West Yorkshire area.In this innovative and successful program we offered a range of outdoor adventurous activities and extended expedition programs to engage adult and young offenders while addressing offending behaviour and building self efficacy and esteem. The aim was primarily linked to boosting employability, enhancing life chances, reducing recidivism, and providing life changing opportunities.

working as a youth development worker for the WEST LEEDS Youth Inclusion Project The Barca-Leeds' Youth Inclusion Project (YIP) was a highly successful youth crime prevention initiative working with children and young people aged 8 to 16 years old who are at risk of becoming NEET, involved in offending or anti-social behaviour (including gang-related activity) and experiencing school exclusion.We supported children by providing one-to-one support and group work activities that builds their self-esteem, raises their aspirations, develops new skills and ultimately, helps them to find alternative choices to offending. Each year we worked with over 100 children and their families with an aim to reduce anti-social behaviours, improve school attendance and attainment and raise aspirationsI delivered: DJ workshops, Jewellery making, Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Climbing, Issues based workshops, community work and interventions in the Bramley area

In Beeston, Leeds, I led youth and community outreach, re-engaging local juveniles from diverse backgrounds. Partnered with VERA Media on a film project showcased at the 2001 Leeds Art Gallery British Film Festival. Collaborated with Friends of Leeds Art Gallery, utilizing their educational suite and resources. Worked with Matthew Murray High School on art-based projects for educationally disengaged youth.

Led environmental youth and community programs for NEET 16-19-year-olds in Leeds. Partnered with Leeds City Council Employment Office to train young people for employment.
