Using proven coaching techniques, I help people understand their roles, plan to change, gain insight into themselves and into their relationships, and make sense of their experience. My coaching is geared toward self-awareness, responsibility, action and lasting change.

After 14 years delivering strategic change as the senior leader in complex organisations, I took the decision to train as an executive coach, wanting to shift my professional life to focus on helping people develop 1:1. My clients include NHS Directors, senior clinicians and managers, supporting them to achieve simultaneous organisational and personal change.

Dimensions is the second largest provider of support to people with learning difficulties in the social care market. It operates nationally, based on a group structure. Previously a Trustee of one of the constituent elements, I contribute to strategy formulation and governance as a member of the group’s Business Development and Marketing Committee.

I provided strategic leadership, public accountability and internal drive to a complex organisation of 2000 staff serving 750,000 people. My role was to champion a radically different, values-driven vision of care, negotiate major cultural change and win essential investments, building public and professionals’ confidence in the Trust.

Key roles included transformation of care, negotiation of care contracts and merger management.Complementing my substantive NHS roles, I taught on Essex’s MA for clinical professionals.

After winning a prestigious Harkness Fellowship, I spent a year’s secondment in San Francisco completing two concurrent research projects at post-doctoral level; one a survey into influencing clinical practice, the other a comparative review of learning difficulties policy in the UK and US.
