I ran international magazines and concurrent projects in the broadcast trade publishing industry for 20 years, which involved a lot of writing, editing, project management and relationship development skills. I travelled the world and attended many Olympic Games with NBC in this capacity.Since 2015 I've continued working in that sector on a freelance basis, for public relations firms, the two big international trade shows, and for a new trade show that I was an important part of getting off the ground in its inaugural edition in 2019. I also renewed my writing for ventures in the cycling industry and started working half-time in bicycle shops.COVID-19 killed or weakened all the trade shows, but the cycling industry boomed. I went full time in a shop and within two years had the single biggest sales year of any salesperson the shop had ever had. I have started my broadcast sector work again, but the available work is substantially less than it was in 2019.Currently, I want to use my extensive international experience and international studies degree to experience new challenges.
