Gartsherrie Engineering is a sub-contract engineering facility delivering high levels of expertise and advanced CNC machining technology offering customers an extensive spectrum of production capabilities, from prototype to large batch production. The machine shop has CNC tools capable of producing intricate and tolerance critical parts from one off prototypes to high volume production runs. Gartsherrie Engineering supply machined parts to a wide spectrum of industries including Oil & Gas and Automotive.Welders are coded to BS EN 2871 and ASME 6G in a variety of metals ranging from carbon steel to chrome/moly. Work undertaken ranges from large batches to complex structures involving hundreds of items project managed to produce a single fabrication.Reporting to the Managing Director I am responsible for all Operational activities within the plant, including Production, Quality and Materials. Overview of responsibilities: • KPIs, including On Time Delivery, Quality and Material Accuracy• Overseeing large tenders, human resources and health & safety • Overseeing the life cycle of the projects, i.e. from RFQ, estimates, production planning, material procurement, manufacture, inspection, customer onsite inspection, logistics for delivery of product which often includes alternative solutions being arranged for the delivery of abnormal loads • Providing support to other departments within the facility including Project Management and Research and Development• Responsible for Facilities Management• Responsible for a team of 13 including Machine Shop and Structural Supervisors, Quality Engineers and Estimators• Responsible for all customer visits and for providing customers with regular updates on the progress and delivery of major projects• Grow and maintain client relationships through high levels of communication and networking • People management is a large part of the role ensuring the team are motivated to meet both the company and the customer’s goals
