Having recently acquired solid works CAD software I'm tasked with updating all our products onto the new system and creating models of our parts along with detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.As well as drawing up our current product line, I'm part of a small group looking at future products within our market sector and designing suitable and viable solutions, and prototypes for inspection and testing.I help our sales team generate quotes for clients work and I'm able to help them design and develop their products.I'm also in charge of programming our laser cutter and ensuring the flow of work into shop floor.Other areas of my role are to help out the fabrication department by setting and operating the brake press machine.
