Worked at an outpatient hand therapy clinic providing rehab services for Veterans with disorders of the finger, hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Also, conducted ADL evaluation on an outpatient basis, and trained Veterans in safe use of medical equipment to be used for functional transfers and ADL completion (e.g. sock aids, shower chairs, raised toilet seats, and built-up eating utensils).

Assisted in writing a PCORI grant for a project concerning self-management of age-related macular degeneration. Conducted a literature search and wrote a proposal for an exercise intervention for elders with advanced dementia. Collaborated to design a research project concerning service learning outcomes for Tufts OT graduate students who will have the opportunity to take part in the Reading Buddy Program at ENRM VA Medical Center. Wrote and submitted the IRB proposal.

I worked with a case-load of 21 individuals ranging in age from 30's to 70's, all with multiple diagnoses including most often Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Schizo-affective Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Epilepsy, Borderline Personality, Drug Addiction, Anorexia, Diabetes, and Sleep Apnea.
