Based in the UK and supported by the head office in Breda, the role is to manage critical supplier relationships across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to support the continuing growth of Bamberger Europe’s sales of Polyolefins. Travelling extensively to ensure Bamberger’s corporate identity is shared with every polymer supplier in the Petrochemical industry.Commercial responsibility includes managing the distribution contracts, offtake agreements and spot purchases from over thirty strategic supply partners. Additional management responsibility of the sales teams for UK, Ireland, Iberia, Black Sea, and the Balkans regions.

Following an invite from the Chairman & CEO, I joined a 6 person committee to help give feedback to the SAFC board regarding proposed commercial activities, specifically to give feedback from a business owning fans perspective. The role was unpaid and voluntary.

A testimonial is granted to a professional footballer when they have been at one club for over ten years, this a very rare commitment of loyalty and service from a modern footballer. This usually is an opportunity for the player to give something back to the local area through raising substantial monies for charity, along with letting the fans showing their appreciation of the players continued efforts for their club.www.jc6.co.ukJody Craddock was granted a testimonial year by his club Wolverhampton Wanderers. I was privileged to be asked by him to reside on his testimonial committee and help facilitate his plans for the season. As volunteers we all were privileged to be invited and keen to celebrate Jody’s career.Our first task was to choose the charity to benefit from the fundraising, after due diligence it was decided that Birmingham’s Children Hospital be the recipient, a great charity and the place where Toby (Jody’s youngest son) was being treated for Leukaemia.There were 6 events throughout the season from a training session where supporters could live like a professional for the day, to an art exhibition, to a formal dinner and various talk ins. All culminating in a testimonial match.The game took place on 5th May between Wolves and Sunderland, attending were professional footballers from Jody’s career at Wolves and Sunderland along with some celebrities (plus me), all playing in front of over 9,000 fans.This was a truly memorable experience for me and the 11 months of hard work certainly paid off as we have raised a considerable sum for the testimonial fund.

Seventy3 was shortlisted for 2 Cordner awards (North East Magazine of the year 2012) as well as shortlisted for Sunderland Business Portfolio Awards 2012.Throughout my ownership of the business I interviewed ex professional footballers from Sunderland, Rangers and England. Probably over 100 interviews in total and in doing so, building an extensive network of trusted ex players and celebrities in the process that number over 300 people.
