Mark has been a Mediator and Barrister for more than 30 years, combining legal practice with extensive mediation work in family law and other jurisdictions, including pursuant to the Franchise Code, the Oil Industry Code and the Office of the Small Business Commissioner (Vic) in its Farm Debt, Retail Tenancy and Real Property jurisdiction. Mark has actively participated in the development of mediation practice in Australia. He was a consultant to the development of Victoria Legal Aid’s Family Dispute Resolution Service (RDM) and was appointed as a director of the Mediator Standards Board from 2012-2019, of which he was elected Chair from 2016-2019. Mark has been a chairperson at Victoria Legal Aid since the service first began in 2003. He has been a panel mediator at Relationships Australia since the late 1980’s and has been contracted as a mediator (Deputy Registrar) with the Family Court of Australia.
