In this role I was the prime for managing the evolution of Development and QA platforms; also as part of my role I administered all third party tool upgrades as well as several server-based tools. Our team also helped support the Development and QA organization with environments, tools, training, troubleshooting and configuration, while simplifying installs & upgrades and maximizing employee communication and awareness. I also reduced lag time from our satellite offices by launching a Citrix solution that increased software connection speed with the main office.Main Responsibilities: • Management and operation of the following server based software platforms: Together Soft license server, Intranet server, Solaris environments, BEA web server, Netscape web server, Starbase Configuration server (coordinate with Configuration Manager) and MKS server (coordinate with Business System Analyst). • Supported Development, QA, and RDV organizations with environments, tool training, troubleshooting and configuration.• Combined with engineering we ensured that all environments were all adequately provisioned and fully functional.• Created configuration documentation for our technical writers on our software.• Trained customer service in the configuration of our product.• Controlled all Development and QA third party tools and licenses.• Preformed in the certification and release of all new tools and upgrades.• Coordinated tool extension activities with other members of the integration team.• Joined third party software tools to the intranet portal. Ensured that every product has an installation guide with simple to use installation tools.• Monitored the build automation server. Ensured that it is adequately provisioned and performs automated nightly - builds, deployments, audits and metrics and results publishing to the intranet portal.
