In late 2017, the @one Alliance Leadership Group nominated me for the position of Digital Strategy Manager. The principal responsibilities of this role are to ensure that our existing digital platforms and strategies are successfully realised and implemented across the @one Alliance and to lead the team responsible for the Digital Transformation strategy for the @one Alliance AMP7 business plan.

Based on the successful implementation of our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) strategy, the next logical step was to begin to raise awareness across the business of the value of digital assets - especially 3D models containing graphical and non-graphical information that would be of value to those operating and maintaining the assets. I therefore promoted the need to change the name of our team from 'CAD Team' to 'Digital Asset Creation Team' - a much more accurate representation of the function of the team.I continued to expand the local IT system as well as ensure the DAC team was upskilled in order to provide the 3D modelling capacity and capability the Business would need as we prepared for the £1.2 billion AMP6 programme beginning in April 2015.During this time we trained and upskilled a core part of the Non-Infrastructure DAC team away from 2D AutoCAD to a range of more appropriate Autodesk model-authoring applications - primarily P&ID, Plant3D and Revit as well as connecting in to the site-based teams using early versions of cloud-based applications such as BIM360 Glue and Field.This work culminated in me giving many internal and external presentations to organisations such as WRc, Network Rail, Highways England, Sellafield, The Institute of Water, BIM4Water and many others.

Responsible for the expansion of the team to 30 technicans producing AMP5 project deliverables for Anglian Water capital projects across Water and Wastewater, Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure.I developed and delivered a 10 year strategy roadmap and implementation plan built on BIM and PLM to deliver frontier capital delivery performance for Anglian Water, based on the transition of some key programmes from 2D to 3D.

As NI CAD Team Leader I was responsible for the recruitment, coordination and time/cost/quality output of a mixed civil and mechanical team of up 14 technicians at AMP4 peak.As Strategic CAD Delivery Project Manager I was responsible for a major CAD benchmarking and deployment process to deliver a next generation CAD solution, ready for the @one Alliance to begin AMP5 effectively. This role gave me the opportunity to develop this further into the @one Alliance/Anglian Water BIM/PLM roadmap when I took up the position of CAD Manager for AMP5 in April 2010.

Project CAD Co-ordinator for several domestic and overseas Maritime and Coastal/Rivers contracts utilising AutoCAD 2004, PDS digital terrain modelling, 3D solid modelling and Multi-Suite RC detailing software.Projects included Port Said Container Terminal, Tanjung Pelepas Wharf, Aden Flour Mill Jetty and Queen's Jetty Reconstruction, Falmouth.All of the projects included delivery of site and structural (concrete and steel) GA's, precast and insitu RC details and detailed steelwork fabrication drawings.I was also jointly responsible for writing the majority of the divisional CAD procedures as well as introducing best practice into the CAD team.
