Currently- Global Health Fellow for Design Outreach, responsible for investigating & directing medical device initiatives specifically for use in mission hospitals, clinics, and patients homes in under-resourced locations of developing nations.Previously - Senior Engineering Fellow for the DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction Knee Team, responsible for world-wide knee research and advanced knee concepts. Over thirty years of experience in orthopaedic device research and development, including work with some of the original clinical pioneers in total knee replacement. Research interests include knee biomechanics, implant wear, and implant fixation.Recipient of the Johnson Medal for the Attune total knee replacement system. Inventor/co-inventor on over 30 patents and author/co-author on several peer reviewed publications and conference abstracts.Undergraduate degree from the U. of Cincinnati and graduate studies at the U. of Denver.Father of 3 children, John, James, and Sarah and married to his life companion, Joy.
