MCH Planning Services is a Town Planning and Planning Enforcement consultancy service, based in Bristol and providing coverage for all of the surrounding area.Between 1999 and 2013 I was employed in the busy Planning Department at North Somerset Council, working on both the Planning Team and Enforcement Team. In 2004, I made the switch from Planning to Planning Enforcement where I held the role of Senior Planning Enforcement Officer whilst with the Enforcement Team.During my time with North Somerset Council I was able to build up a wide range of knowledge and skills in the areas of both Planning and Planning Enforcement. I was responsible for advising people on planning and enforcement matters covering a wide range of activities including guiding people through all of the various stages of the planning process, helping people to resolve their enforcement issues, dealing with all types of enforcement notices and undertaking appeal work.As a former employee of North Somerset Council who has worked on the Planning Team and the Enforcement Team I am able to provide an insight into the processes and procedures of a Local Planning Authority that many other consultants are unable to.I am a volunteer for Planning Aid and also a former member of both NAPE (the RTPI affiliated network for Planning Enforcement) and the South West Federation of Enforcement Officers.
