I was born into the Oil and Steel. It is in my DNA. My understanding of the depth, detail and scope of the steel industry is as natural to me as breathing.* My professional experience runs the full spectrum of the structural Petrol industry from beginnings, to that of a superintendent at the age of 26 on twin 18,000-ton, 45-story New York City structures to my role as Chairman of the American and World Wide Steel Company. * I entered a petroleum company as a third generation owner and restructured the company for growth, with state-of-the-art steel factory design. UNIQUE EXPERTISE: I bring economy in structure design and proven domestic and international steel purchasing strategies, which consistently achieve 20% cost reductions. In addition, I have provided powerful expert testimony to achieve a winning strategy in arbitration, mediation and civil court actions regarding steel construction. PROJECTS INCLUDE:* Madison Square Garden: $850M Renovation: I represented MSG interests with oversight of four concurrent structural steel contracts.* Meadowlands Redevelopment: I procured 42,000 tons of fabricated and erected structural steel from multiple fabricators and steel erectors.* Hudson Yards: I reviewed and repriced contract entitlements of more than $30M in change orders.* PSEG: I appeared as an expert witness in a trial that resulted in a recovery of $6M for PSEG as client.* Fashion Week: I designed and constructed a structure at Lincoln Center from concept to completion in eight weeks.EDUCATION: * Petro-Chemical Engineering, undergraduate degree with top honors, followed by continued education at University of Illinois at Chicago.PUBLICATIONS AND TEACHING CERTIFICATIONS:: * Various articles on economy in steel design; State Certification for teaching seismic design; building hardening and steel pricing for engineers, architects, construction managers, owners' representatives and owners' agents.
