Key Responsibilities• Responsible for all Retail projects in the UK and part of a team handling European Retail projects • Reporting to joint-Managing Director, responsible for all aspects of each acquisition from deal sourcing and negotiation through to technical and legal due diligence and financing; post purchase, responsible for implementation and delivery of the project business plan• Identifying suitable potential Joint Venture Partners and agreeing appropriate Joint Venture structures• Producing asset management Business Plans for new projects and presenting same to Board and Joint Venture and/or Financing Partners• Leading a development team with a particular eye to mitigating “at risk” costs and delivering to budget and on programme• Overseeing a major corporate Joint Venture and protecting the company’s shareholding thereinMain Achievements• Responsibility for the 50% stake-holding in the Centros Miller joint venture• Acquisition of shopping centre investment in Great Yarmouth, delivery of retail extension and securing Planning Permission for a further phase of reconfiguration• Structuring of a complex 3-way Joint Venture as part of the purchase of The Walnuts, Orpington; a total of 8 parties were signatories to this acquisition• Delivering a circa 20% increase in Net Operating Income at Swinton town centre in under 2 years thereby facilitating a highly profitable sale• Mitigating the negative effects of the global economic downturn on the investment assets held in Bulgaria and Romania, maintaining circa 95% occupancy within Mall Varna, Bulgaria (then the largest shopping mall in the country) • Acquiring The Graftons, Altrincham from Receivers, managing the conversion of a part-vacant office tower to a 93-room budget hotel and the reconfiguration of ground floor retail into larger unit shops• Completion of a 2 week residential Management Training Course at Cranfield School of Management

Key Responsibilities• Head of the Retail Division managing a team of over 60 brokers covering in-town and out-of-town markets • Managing leasing, shopping centre asset management, lease renewals and rent reviews and retail development functions• Developing new business streams• Promoting liaison with overseas Colliers Retail teams - primarily in Europe but also US • Cross-selling all aspects of the Company with particular emphasis on Valuation, Property Management and Investment• Undertaking pitches and Presenting Market ResearchMain Achievements• Part of a 3-man team that acquired Meadowhall for British Land for circa £1.15 billion• Acquisition and delivery of asset management and/or development Business Plans for shopping centres at Fareham, Kings Lynn, Kettering, Swinton, Brentwood, Cramlington, Wigan and Slough (total value £350 million +)• Completion of “infill” developments in Southampton, Taunton, Worcester, Preston for a variety of Institutional investors and private developers• Portfolio acquisition of 45 vacant Department Stores from Co-op for £69 million on behalf of Miller Developments with a simultaneous sub-sale of part of the portfolio to Primark; the residue of the portfolio was worked out with an end profit of almost £30 million delivered• Establishing a “preferred consultant” relationship with Primark – some of the larger acquisitions were completed in Watford, Birmingham, Birkenhead, Norwich• Creation of a Consultancy Team to advise Private Equity and VC Houses on acquisition of Retail companies – clients included Nomura, Permira, Barclay Brothers• The production of the annual Colliers Rent Map and being a member of the 3-man Editorial Committee of the Midsummer Retail Report; Presented the Report to Analysts and Press and to Clients at such venues as Tower 42, Odeon Leicester Square, the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and Royal Institute of British Architects
