I am a very experienced leader and manager in the Learning and Skills Sector. I have worked full time in 8 colleges of further education initially as a teacher but quickly moving on through levels of management. Since moving to London in 1988 I have held increasingly senior roles. These have been predominantly in complex, multi-racial urban colleges where I have led strategically on the design and implementation of a responsive vocational curriculum and on models of teaching and learning that engage and meet the needs both of a very diverse range of learners and of employers and other stakeholders. Since 2002 I have held second tier management positions working on the executive teams of three different colleges, leading on curriculum and quality. This has served to broaden my experience to include more general strategic and partnership management issues. I am currently working successfully in a freelance capacity on college improvement as an interim executive leading development and change projects and am always seeking further challenges in my career.
Listed skills include Training, Staff Development, Coaching, Curriculum Design, and 34 others.
