I create wealth while managing risk primarily through the craft of technical analysis.    After spending 14 years as a Financial Advisor, ultimately finding the freedom of being independent under the umbrella of Raymond James, I sold my advisory practice some years ago.  I no longer accept client accounts.  While at Raymond James I was one of less than 2% of Advisors qualified to manage discretionary portfolios.  I held Series 65, 24 and of course, Series 7 designations.Since leaving the world of advising clients, I have worn a few hats, while still actuvely managing family portfolios.  My time at Cycling Kansas City was full time volunteering that included project management, fund raising, volunteer management, marketing, curriculum development, teaching, and recruiting talent.  We found great success in all of those areas.  Directing the Tour of Kansas City was a fun gig in Project Management and still holds the fundraising record for MOBikeFed.In the technology startup world, I was the wearer of many hats: Total Addressable Market analysis, purchasing and cash flow management, CRM software purchasing and implementation, real estate location search and negotiation, and manager of multiple entrepreneurial personalities and general Getter of Things Done.In the volunteer world, I’ve been on the board and was Program Chair of Shawnee Mission Rotary (PHF) and the board and finance committee of KidsTLC. It was TLC for Children and Families back then.  As a foodie with a cycling problem, I have been both the Director of the Tour of Kansas City and President of Cycling Kansas City.  I championed The Rider Development Program (RiDE) while with Cycling KC.  I was actively involved in Overland Park’s bicycle plan and served on Lenexa’s Complete Streets Advisory Council. You’ll often find me in spandex at any Taco Tuesday.  Healthy people and healthy communities are a passion.I am still very active in portfolio management, just not for clients at this time.  Recently I decided to pursue the Chartered Market Technician designation and will be sitting for CMT 2 this June.We should connect if you’re interested in making the world a better place through compassion and reason, or if you are part of the investment world and think our interests intersect
