Responsibilities include:Development and implementation of the facilitation, regional and national elements of Carbon Neutral Cornwall Action Plan including ongoing management of sector and community engagement activity.Development and management of the £30m Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Technology Fund, management of the £16m Renewable Energy and Climate Change Fund along with the development of Cornwall Council’s renewable energy investment strategy.Management of the Forest for Cornwall Programme including securing £2.5m of capital funding to support tree planning in Cornwall.Initial development and implementation of the Cornwall Council Decision Wheel and the Cornwall Climate Risk Assessment.Programme and budget management of the Carbon Neutral Cornwall Programme including oversight successful funding bids including £3.5m Drive EV 2 ERDF and a £12.9m of housing retrofit funding.

Responsibilities include:Developed and implemented governance and reporting process for New Frontiers that was recognised as good practices by Warwick Economics and Development as part of a MHCGL devolution audit.Showcasing the CIoS Leadership Board’s approach to place based leadership through New Frontiers on a local, national and international stage presenting at a National NHS event in June and agreement to create a joint lobbying position with the Highlands and Islands Council. As New Frontiers lead officer I was required to manage interactions with Government through CLG to agree priority asks and enable key contacts to be made within the civil service to develop and progress work. Despite encountering a government that was heavily distracted by Brexit strong progress was made across many areas of New Frontiers in the 12 months leading to 10 asks being successfully agreed with government.Progressing key areas of work including developing evidence bases for a successful Cornish language and culture funding bid and feasibility study for the creation of an environmental regulatory support hub. Organisation and management of two international study visits for a delegation of Moroccan officers and members to Cornwall to showcase what has been achieved through devolution resulting in the agreement to develop an MOU between the regions.

Responsibilities include:Providing leadership and carrying out reporting for all elements of the energy strand of the Cornwall Deal which includes electricity grid, storage, community energy, deep geothermal, energy efficiency and enterprise zones. Achievements include the development and adoption of the Cornwall 2030 Vision by Cornwall Council and the development of national guidance on emerging models for the local supply of electricity with Regen.Contract and performance management of the £2.5m Community Energy Revolving Loan fund.Successful development of Rural Community Energy Fund application for Porthleven Town Council and an £80,000 application to BEIS for the production of a 3 LEP energy strategy covering Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, Dorset & Heart of the South West LEPs.

Responsibilities included:Development of a delivery model for Government’s new Work Programme compromising of individualised 18 week training for long term unemployed adults Contract and facilities management, including liaison with Probation Service, Next Step and National Careers Service Production of delivery and assessment resources for trainers, completing client registrations with award bodies, monitoring attendance, managing staff and client workloads and updating Ingeius Works database.

Responsibilities included:Performance management, action planning and appraisal of 15 staff and overall responsibility for 300 learnersSection self-assessment, quality management and resource planning Curriculum development, facilities & budget management; and timetabling for 23 curriculum groupsRecognised Lesson Observer and subject mentor for PGCE & Cert Ed learners including external tutor at HMP Altcourse.
