My brand is people and problem solving. We rise by lifting others and working collaboratively. I didn’t create this, we did it together. When given ambiguous tasks, I blossom with interpretive creativity, which, admittedly, is probably a made up phrase.I’ve had the privilege of building and developing new teams as we’ve entered uncharted territories.I’ve been tasked with starting up new departments, building new processes where they did not exist before, and laying the groundwork for my successors to take over and thrive. I’ve had the great opportunity of leading projects where we analyzed the established model, identified areas of opportunity, and delivered a leaner product to cut costs and eliminate pain points for our stakeholders.Here are a few things I valueValue DiversitySome of my most impactful peers and leaders have challenged my world view and introduced me into new schools of thought and lines of logic. Everyone deserves representation and a seat at the table when decisions are being made. I tend to think of myself as resourceful and pretty capable, but I wouldn’t want to work on a team of ten “me’s.” We need to value diversity in modern business if we truly want to change the world. Value DevelopmentPersonal development is a lifelong journey. I received my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014, however my journey may never be complete. I’m currently revisiting the course catalogue at TCC and have built a wish list of classes I’m meandering through that I hope will benefit me in my current or future roles (along with a few others that just sound interesting.)
