One of the founder member's of No5 SATT team, those task is to train adult personnel within the Cadet Movement in Range Management and Coaching. This include training regular RAF personnel, who had been attached to the RAF Cadet Training Team.Also train and assess new members who wished to join the team.Reached upper age limit (55) for my Grp Cpt

Started with the GPO Telephones as an apprentice in 1970 and retired in 1992.Main Task was Telephone Exchange Maintainence, and Test Room duties, took up T1 post with 5 staff to manage, I brought the work load up-to-date by clearing the back log, the team achieved a high work turn over meaning that field engineers had dail tone on their new lines come the appointment date.Move on to ST in the Installation Office and so cleared the back log there and allocated work to field engineers as so as sells team sent the works order to my computer.Last roll with BT was to teach Repair Servire Centre staff how to do their job using a new computer system. Lots of hints that this was a short team fix for 6 months then the 52 London centres would close when the 5 Nation Wide Call Centres opened.Not a nice last roll but delieved the courses to my high standard.
