Extensive PLC, HMI, and Kinetix servo motion control programming and integration for robotic welding systems in automotive and manufacturing industries. Programming and setup of robotic welders within the systems. Develop barcode and production data base within the PLC program to call system programs and report production data to the business network. Assist with system mechanical and electrical control design. Create and modify G-Code and welding programs for cutting applications and the fast expanding automotive EV battery industry.Work with ASE team to create and improve standard code for use with company standard systems as well as create custom programs for unique systems. Customer and on-line system support as needed.

Controls Engineer

1) Design PLC electrical control, and panel layout using AutuCad. Using latest standards for safety and reliability.2) Create BOM list from Control design and order parts for project control. Monitor received parts and track outstanding deliveries.3) Create program code from scratch, or use customer standards for PLCs, HMIs, and any other peripheral devices. Mainly but not limited to Rockwell Logix 5, Logix 500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk RSView ME, and SE.4) Schedule control cabinet build with the Panel Build department.5) Schedule system installation with customer.6) Advise installation electricians and update control drawings as needed. 7) Download PLC code, configure system PLC, HMI, VFD drives, Servos, Barcode scanners, Vision systems, safety devices. Commission the system to meet customer runoff requirements. 8) Provide Engineering Service support to customers as needed.9) Utilize Lean Manufacturing (SMART manufacturing ) techniques where possible to help customers improve throughput and quality.10) Create and test PLC code and HMI applications to improve standard control offerings as time allowed.

Configure, repair, and install system flow, level, and PH sensors for the accuracy and quality of protein and gelatin product production. Create electrical drawings for new equipment. Create and improve HMI and PLC programs for system improvements. Maintain and program Foxboro main system control as well as Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and SLC peripheral controllers. Support maintenance crew as needed.

Design, program and upgrade new system controls. Maintain and improve current control programs for safety and production improvements. Improve and increase spare parts for maintenance repairs of electrical production equipment. Support maintenace crew 24/7. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment as needed.

Build, design, assemble, program and install new right sized production equipment for manufacturing office furniture. Controls standardized on Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, Keyence Camera systems, and Cognex barcode readers. Integration of all control systems, including Yaskawa Motoman robotic welders with PLCs and business network data bases. Support maintenance crew as needed.
