As CTO of PocketBox, I helped set the foundation of what this company is today by picking appropriate technology stacks, communicating with external data providers, writing comprehensive documentation used to gain seed funding, building and managing the backend infrastructure, open and private API and fully developing our analytics to find out more about our userbase.I left this role in 2021 after I helped steer the company in the direction it is still travelling in today.

I started incryptos because I was annoyed that smaller websites always had the short straw when it came to security. I gathered a group of like-minded people who searched the web for websites that had potential security issues.If we found a site with a potential security issue, we would reach out to them and offer a free basic penetration test. Any issues found where disclosed to the website owner/administrator to handle. In the majority of cases, we got asked to help to patch the issue.Using tools like ZAP, Burp and SQLmap, we could find and patch the majority of security issues we came across, The majority of issues we patched consisted of XSS, SQL Injection and Software Misconfiguration.Our team grew to 4 working around the clock, eventually reaching out to universities, local businesses, government service providers and even government departments themselves.Due to issues that cropped up with our team like the time required for university and some medical issues, we could not keep up the capacity that we did, and decided to scale down the operation and only work on it as a hobby project.I managed the team of 4, 2 Local, 1 in Norway and 1 in Australia, we used a number of project management solutions but settled on Asana due to its ease of use and feature set.In terms of programming, we heavily utilized PHP, JS, MySQL and bash scripts, and batch files in both fixing issues as well as internal software.I hosted a virtual lab that would allow us to work on websites without affecting uptime, this system was built on top of Proxmox, hosted on 2 x Dell Poweredge 1950’s, 1x Dell Poweredge 2950 and networked with Cisco 6500 series switch, this was later replaced with a Dell PowerConnect 6284. This environment was also centrally managed through Spicework

As a software engineer working at GoTestify I work mainly on our backend platform built in PHP using the MVC flow based Zend Framework but sometimes dabble in the frontend, the majority of witch is now being build using the Vue framework.I have also been creating plugins for Google Docs using Google Docs Scripts to help manage our community data.With the GDPR rolled into place, I was appointed DPO and ISO. It was my responsibility to get the company GDPR compliant and manage how we work with and access data.

As a software engineer I have mainly built internal applications to gather, process and display data.I have helped find new software for the company to help speed up the internal workflow and build custom dashboards around them. Some of the projects I have worked on include:A data dashboard for OSTicket displaying number of tickets over a given time, sorted by category as well as a detailed breakdown of tickets that have been reopened. A custom internal "databoard" that helps the sales team keep track of their sales through the month, this application also has an advanced admin panel giving detailed statics on each sales person as well as the ability to view sales by month and department. Other tasks have also included: Installing and configuring apache and nginx web servers. Installing and configuring MySQL database servers. Working with sqlite databases. Providing support to external developers working with our API Building an automated testing suite in python for all areas of the web application, this reports errors and logs them when necessaryThe main languages I use while working here include but are not limited to: PHP Javascript MySQL Python
