I am a founder with successful exits in three diverse, unrelated industries. I am drawn to innovate in regulatory environments in which technology allows for new solutions that were not previously considered by the agencies.My current fascination is housing. I started with building homes for foster youth that could not afford first month rent. The goal was to build the strongest, most eco friendly homes that could be rented for half the market rent. I became a licensed general contractor and actively hold an HVAC, plumbing, and roofing license. This depth of knowledge is necessary to innovate and create market-based solutions within the existing confines of the zoning and building code. With previous experience in investment banking and private equity, I never expected to be playing in such an unsophisticated industry but am continually amazed by the economic opportunity by having the courage and drive to do things differently.I have acquired, built, and managed a personal portfolio of over 300 single family homes in six states.
