Three Operations was outsourced from Ericsson to Huawei and so this role transferred with it.

Responsible for managing the implementation of new services into Operations and making sure they were delivered in a quality manner. During this time I was involved in developing this role and improving the processes which were in place.

The technical operations of Three were outsourced to Ericsson and so the role I did was transferred. During this time the estate grew to 3500 UNIX and Linux servers and 1.5 Petabytes of data.

During this time I also took over responsibility for the 2nd Line teams as well and was responsible for the end to end UNIX and Storage infrastructure support, including SAN network. By this time the server estate was around 2500 servers and the SAN estate was over 500Tb data.

During this time I set up the UNIX 3rd Line Team and was responsible for the deployment and support of the new UNIX estate. Three at the time was a new company and this was a greenfield deployment, the main initial rollout was of 650 servers which were deployed in less than 6 months.

I was the Team Leader of a support team of 12 people within C&W Internet Operations. The group as a whole ran various Internet related products for external companies, including complete ISP platforms.The team supported around 400 windows and SUN Solaris servers and 6 Tandem systems from a hardware and operating system point of view. We were responsible.
