With over 17 years of experience in biotechnology research, I am a passionate and driven Researcher at the University of Queensland, where I work on the development of peptides for agricultural and therapeutic applications. I have a PhD in Biochemistry and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which enable me to combine scientific excellence with entrepreneurial mindset. I am motivated by the potential of peptides to address global challenges in health and food security, and I strive to contribute to the advancement of this emerging field of research.In my current role, I am involved in various aspects of peptide research, from discovery and characterisation to engineering and optimisation to application and commercialization. I use my skills in molecular biology, scientific writing, and bioinformatics to design, conduct, and communicate high-quality experiments, and to collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders. I have co-authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, and presented my findings at national and international conferences. I am also part of a multidisciplinary team that is developing a novel platform for the production of peptide-based biopesticides and biopharmaceuticals.
