I am responsible for all non-clinical operations of Packard Health.

Management of the UTMC ED Medical Director’s privately owned Emergency Medicine (EM) staffing group. Responsible for all business and management functions for this five hospital EM group and related medical billing company. • Negotiate fees and contracts with client hospitals • Recruit and negotiate contracts and provide guidance and support for over fifty full and part-time physicians• Construct and implement physician incentive pay and benefit packages • Oversee credentialing for both hospital privileges and physician billing reimbursements• Negotiate group malpractice, health insurance coverage and pension plans• Disseminate and coordinate all physician and corporate malpractice claims • Oversee 24/7 scheduling for all five locations• Coordinate all banking, accounting and legal relationships• Initiated Hospitalist program at one location with a second requesting same services

Personally responsible for creating a billing and medical practice management company from inception. System performs medical billing for sixteen different physician clients covering eight different specialties. • Built system to manage outside physician groups including billing and financial management• Accountable for all operations and financial performance • Installed all tracking and follow-up systems to insure all billable encounters are captured and billed in a timely manner• Oversee staff of sixteen including coders• Ensure no client is lost due to quality of work• Review and evaluate system regularly to ensure program quality and efficiency

Hired as Chief Financial Officer for this seventy employee, $20 million in sales printing company. Vital in turning loss into profit and maintaining profit each fiscal year.• Named Chief Operating Officer in 1990. • Instrumental in turning a fiscal 1989 $250k loss into a seven figure profit in less than three years.• Maintained seven figure profit continued through years as COO• Responsible for hiring of all personnel, manufacturing and production results, equipment and facility maintenance and all purchasing including paper and ink products• Handled all accounting functions, prepared cash flow and profit projections and interim and year-end financial statements• Responsible for all property and health insurance decisions, payment of taxes, weekly payroll processing, cash management and legal, accounting, and banking relationships• Negotiated a $10 million equipment and real property expansion while working with a local governmental agency to secure tax abatement

Managed three lenders providing commercial loans to both local and non-local corporate borrowers. Built the commercial loan portfolio from $42 million to over $125 million in four years. • Analyzed, negotiated, and structured corporate loan requests for presentation to Bank loan committees• Maintained and expanded Bank relationships with corporate borrowers into other Bank products and services• Developed new corporate business• Negotiated the Bank’s participation in an $82 million joint venture financing agreement between Bethlehem Steel, Inland Steel and a third party • Negotiated the Bank’s participation in the $1.5 billion recapitalization of Owens Corning
