This includes control of the following aspects; Strategic & Forward planning activities for nominated programs/projects Initiate the project and establish the project team including determination of representation Provide recommendation and technical assistance to client & prepare Project Management Plans.Create a schedule for the project and its components e.g. design, construction and managing variations to it and performance against it. Engaging Service Providers and monitoring progress against budget and schedule.Manage the design planning actions and the design planning report / preliminary design being undertaken by the Service Provider Prepare and submit legislative actions such as statutory approvals, MCU report, building applications in both the design planning and design stages. Coordinate communication / consultation actions as required in relation to design planning / preliminary design Undertake the land acquisition processes Gold Coast City Council guidelines. Engage Tenders and Specifications section to procure and award Contractor for external delivery contracts Ensure all legislative compliance actions required by the project are undertaken Undertake preliminary / final inspection of works for practical completion & Arrange project review with Project Team and relevant Service Providers

Scope included stormwater drainage upgrade, full depth pavement reconstruction with subgrade treatments and structural asphalt pavements, signalised intersection and street lighting upgrades, landscaping. Project constructed under traffic (40,000 vpd) in an urban environment, delivered ahead of time, under budget and without a LTI.Implementing project management techniques and management systems to assist in enhancing business unit performance.Managing and coordinating external subcontractors to ensure projects are carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with Main Roads Standard Specifications. Managing multiple subcontractors and preparing subcontracts. Cost reporting and forecasting. Setting up jobs i.e. job / site folders, Safety Management Packs, Quality Management Packs.
