I am an experienced environmental manager and consultant with a 20 year career in environmental management, carbon management and corporate responsibility. My skills include policy and strategy development, the use of environmental management tools (BREEAM Design & In Use, CEEQUAL, ISO14001 & EMAS and Strategic Environmental Assessment) and stakeholder engagement. My practical project experience covers sustainable construction, energy management, waste management, staff travel, green procurement and nature conservation. I am currently involved in developing policy and strategy for the environmental management of the property portfolio, supporting construction project teams to ensure corporate sustainability requirements are met and reducing the environmental impact of building operation. I have a Master of Philosophy research degree in Environmental Modelling and a Post Graduate Certificate in Climate Change. I am also a qualified environmental management system auditor and BREEAM assessor (Design and In-use). I am an affiliate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.Before moving in to environmental management I completed a mechanical and production engineering apprenticeship with a company that manufactured exhaust systems, silencers and air filters.
