Here’s what LinkedIn doesn’t say about me. I’m an autodidact that sees the world in terms of patterns and connections. In my current career role I’m an enterprise Senior Network Operations (NetOps) Engineer, who happens to be autistic. And operations is a good fit because it’s where the patterns and connections converge.Today’s NetOps has evolved beyond the constraints of monolithic data centers and embraced the value driven opportunities of the Cloud Service Providers. And this forward movement has not only redefined but increased the value of my role in NetOps in many ways.In my role I’ve evaluated & guided new opportunities in emerging tech for process streamlining, service delivery, audit & compliance, and automation. I believe that everything in NetOps needs to be in a constant state of balanced evolution. Opportunities in the cloud move pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. ;)To that end, I’ve supported that value with our partners, vendors, internal Lines of Business (LoB), and our customers.I contribute to the SecOps effort to ensure my organizations ability to deliver secure by default services that meet our constantly evolving security standards because I believe that NetOps must always be closely aligned with SecOps.My team philosophy is one where everyone is a valued contributor. None of us can be an island, and our organization’s success must always be based upon respecting each other and constantly recognizing, supporting, and embracing each others efforts. ‘One for all, and all for one’. Teams aren’t top down. Real teams are reactors. Burning bright by building with each other. That means Life/Work balance has to be more than words. The pandemic made clear that L/W must be one of our highest priorities. So, I’m looking for the next step in my career.
