As the General Manager for Essick Air I am responsible for the overall performance of manufacturing, shipping, purchasing, engineering, and quality. I directly oversee five salary department managers. During my tenure I have implemented Lean Manufacturing by holding multiple Kaizen events to eliminate waste and increase efficiency. I have reduced the amount of OSHA recordable accidents year over year by holding training secession and implementing improved safety measures throughout the facility. I have increased inventory turns by sourcing materials with shorter lead times and running lean. This has lead to reduced on hand inventory and increased inventory turns. I have assisted in developing processes and procedures to allow our shipping department to fully service up to 6000 Amazon orders per day. Essick has an additional company under its cooperate umbrella in Denison, TX call Champion Coolers. Champion Coolers manufactures and distributes evaporative coolers. I spent two and a half years commuting to Denison as their acting General Manager. In my time at Champion Coolers I was able to reduce overtime and increase efficiency by implementing Lean Manufacturing.
