As an experienced C-Suite Board Exec that worked at board level for a major international infrastructure enterprise and other smaller specialists companies, I have gained a wealth of experience built up over 30 years, leading on business performance, growth, value creation, restructuring, balance sheet recovery, strategy and m&a. Over a career involving varying leadership roles, I have developed a keen interest working with talented individuals and teams, seeking to succeed for themselves or the businesses they lead. More specifically, in recent years I was responsible for the planning and execution of a €2.5bn group wide business optimisation strategy. My business skills have been honed from the experience of working alongside other talented people, and from the exposure to the good and the very toughest of times that come with any portfolio of enterprises that diversify and grow through economic cycles on an international platform. I have considerable knowledge of the following built environment sectors : civil infrastructure, residential, commercial, healthcare, education, data centres, life sciences, facilities management and engineering services, offsite modular manufacturing, retrofit. I have lead the acquisition and the organic growth of several specialist businesses in the following sectors, civil engineering (Sisk Civils), housing (Sisk Living), offsite manufacturing (Vision Built), facilities management (Sensori) and retrofit sectors (Strategic Projects). This value creation work has been something I have particularly enjoyed. I am very familiar with my fiduciary responsibilities having been a Director on the Sisk Board since 2012, and having been a Director and Chair on the Board of several other companies registered in Ireland, Uk and a number of mainland European countries. This involved a lot of ongoing stakeholder management at all levels. I enjoy working with the frontline teams at all levels of business, on all manner of small and large scale projects, with differing procurement methods ranging from Traditional to Private Finance, and with many varied forms of contract in both Common Law and Civil Law jurisdictions.
