I am responsible for an approximate fiscal year budget of over 5 million dollars. I supervise and monitor their duties regarding the budget, accounting and procurement operations of the Trust Fund Department. I approve purchases for supplies, equipment and commissary sale items. I coordinate, reconcile and balance all Cost Centers. I supervise and provide guidance to, two Trust Fund Specialist regarding obligations incurred, expenditures, and availability of funds on a monthly basis. I compare and contrast prior fiscal year budgets and expenditures from our TRUFACS data system as well as other activities in our department to anticipate needs for future funding. I perform all major reprogramming of funds to accommodate each program change as needed. I ensure they take the necessary courses of action concerning these estimate adjustments. I received training and provide policy and regulatory guidance concerning the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) process. I conduct Admissions and Orientation on a weekly basis to all newly committed inmates/detainees. I introduce the inmates to the Policy governing all aspects of the BOP. I research and respond to Inmate Cop-Outs, FOIA and BP 9's to resolve inmate complaints. I process all NCIC checks on all non-Federal/BOP staff prior to their entrance of FCC Oakdale. I provide training presentations to inmates/detainees on TRULINCS and the TRUFONE systems. I install, replace and repair inmate telephones and computers. I analyze data and perform diagnostics regularly on the TRUFONE and TRULINCS systems. I make command decisions that have made a direct impact on the daily operations of the Department. I am responsible for the training, supervision, and guidance of 14 Material Handler Supervisors, I provide counseling, resolve work related issues, carefully evaluate and initiate improvements if necessary. I delegate assignments to others during staff shortages and workload issues.
