As Pathways Discernment Coach I walk with congregations through a process of celebrating their past, assessing their present, and discerning their future. The goal of this process is to empower congregations to faithfully embrace the future to which God is calling them. Additionally, I serve as Transitional Pastor at one of the Pathways congregations, currently Immanuel Lutheran in Dixon, IL.

I serve on a team of on-call chaplains providing crisis care and pastoral support to patients, their families, and hospital staff.

● Led church staff, lay committees, and volunteers● Worked collaboratively in a leadership position with church council on matters of governance, human resources, finance, and overall direction● Supervised, and met individually, with church staff ● Planned, crafted, and executed weekly worship services (3 per weekend)● Delivered engaging sermons weekly approximately 15-20 minutes long● Recorded weekly messages for online platforms● Wrote regular communications for weekly emails, monthly newsletters, and other communications, reaching approximately 650 households● Led youth ministry program and taught confirmation lessons weekly

● Provided Pastoral Care to a congregation ranging from 1,000-2,400 members of all ages during times of loss, illness, and other challenges● Formed and led Mission Development Team to vision, plan, fund-raise and support leaders of a burgeoning local and global missions’ program● Established partnerships with local and global mission organizations● Led groups of lay members on bi-yearly mission trips to Peru to grow relationships and build connections with mission partners● Partnered with Senior Pastor to plan and lead weekly worship services● Officiated hundreds of funerals, weddings, and other special services● Served as on-call pastor for Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral home● Supervised Youth Ministry and Children’s Ministry Directors and Parish Nurse● Conducted monthly Children’s Chapel with Little Blessings Preschool, wrote and acted in skits, interacted with children ages 3-5 and their families
