As a client specialist, my responsibilities include receiving and controlling customer freight load requests as well as tracking and tracing intermodal loads from origin to destination. With each customer, we manage equipment pools and use weekly customer projections to ensure capacity demands are met. I manage and develop relationships with outside carriers, while coordinating customer loads between us and the carrier. Other responsibilities include managing our service metrics to meet the needs of our customers while avoiding unbudgeted expenses and hitting our targeted margins.
