Currently I lead the Global Operations function for Smiths Interconnect. Creating & deploying our vision for Operational Excellence as a competitive advantage through clear & accountable market alignment & customer value creation. We continue to build a scalable organization enabling growth, promoting pace, dependability, flexibility & simplicity at the right cost. Our key enablers include our talented people, technology, footprint & supply chain, sourcing / procurement, capacity / efficiency & capital expenditure deployment.While working for Smiths Medical, in recent years I had responsibility for the operational sites in China, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Japan & UK. Since joining Smiths Medical in 2002, I held a number of Operational leadership roles and managed large scale transformational change programmes including Manufacturing, Distribution Centre & Sales offices site closures, manufacturing process transfers and the implementation of new engineered processes within Mexico, USA, China, Germany, Italy, UK & Czech Republic sites. In 2013, I led the programme to design, build & establish the new 10,000 sq m Smiths Medical manufacturing facility within the Czech Republic. Focusing on the reduction of total costs, creating simplified agile end to end supply chains enabling value creation to our customers.I am a company appointed member trustee of the Smiths Group SIPS UK pension scheme.
