Having worked at Pullman Instruments for coming on 42 years, I now find myself in the position of actually running the business day to day. I successfully manage a team of 7 managers who look after a workforce of 47 staff members.Since I took over in 2009, the business has moved from a £1M T/O company to over £4M T/O for 2023. It is still a family run business but has moved from a small low key company, to a Core Value driven business. These core values have helped to create a stronger identity of who we are, what we do, how we do it. It Gives our teams a clearer insight into the value we place on them, and helps reassure our customers that we mean what we stand for.Our main focus and strategy is to ensure that we not just offer our calibration services, but that we can become a problem solver and solution provider, assisting our customers with their technological challenges.I am constantly looking at strategic ways to develop the business, both technically and administratively, and have a great team of people who help support the success of the business.There is very much within me a desire to work to be the best at what we do, and fortunately I am supported by a CEO who has the same commitment and passion for the company, and is willing to continually improve through capital investments

My responsibilities included all technical aspects of the service and calibration laboratories, from asset evaluation in procuring new reference standards, to the production and control of test procedures used to calibrate our customers equipment
