I've a solid background in IT (from software development to strategic IT planning), strategic business consulting (10+ years with 2 of the 'Big n' firms plus 5 years of advising SMEs), process modelling and technical authoring.My experience was gained in the energy industry in the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia, I spent my consulting career in London for four years and Sydney for six. I have some three years of experience in asset management and hold the foundation Investment Management Certificate. I worked for some years in the UK electricity distribution business for EDF Networks and then on EDF's Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project, based in Bristol.I'm currently engaged on client projects for a major player in the construction industry.I've been independent since 2003, advising and coaching SMEs for a few years and working for spells in business development for IT recruitment and translation companies. I moved back back into the corporate world in 2007, since when I've worked on contract for clients in electricity distribution, communications network installation and construction.I live on the very western edge of West Sussex in the hamlet of Milland with the very lovely Sally. Both sons have left home; the younger one lives nearby and works for a small IT company. The older son is a traineed pilot in the RAF. I'm a keen and, I like to think, reasonably competent amateur photographer with a long-awaited back garden studio.
