Senior Vice President - International, Senior Corporate Managing Director
CurrentMark Killen is Senior Vice President – International and Senior Corporate Managing Director for American Century Investments, an independent, privately controlled, pure-play asset management firm founded in 1958. A veteran American Century executive who joined the company in 1993, Mr. Killen is responsible for the relationship with Nomura Holdings, Inc. Mr. Killen is also responsible for coordinating U.S.-based resources committed to supporting and maximizing opportunities with American Century’s broader distribution efforts outside of North America. Previously, Mr. Killen was Chief Marketing Officer and oversaw the firm’s Corporate Marketing and Development area. In this role, he was responsible for corporate communications, brand and advertising, product development, corporate strategy, acquisitions and the marketing of the company’s investment products. Earlier, he held positions as senior vice president of Direct Marketing and Services and vice president and director for the broker/dealer division of the intermediary channel. Prior to joining American Century, Mr. Killen held marketing positions with IBM Corporation.Mr. Killen serves on the firm’s Management Committee, a senior leadership team responsible for establishing and executing strategic priorities, the Products and Markets Committee and is a member of the Investment Oversight Committee. Mr. Killen serves on the University of Kansas School of Business Marketing Advisory Board and The Friends of the Zoo, Kansas City Zoo board.
