About Mark King

I have been working in road safety research, policy and management in various capacities for several decades. My interests span most areas of road safety and into the areas of mobility, access, transport justice and active travel. I also have a strong commitment to capacity building for road safety and related areas, as a way of both translating research into practice, and to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals who are tasked with making environments and vehicles safer, encouraging compliance with safety-related rules and guidelines, and implementing legislation, policies and programs. I am a firm believer in the necessity of evaluation and reliance on research evidence, and in mentoring early career researchers to pursue these aims.
