Responsible for oversight of the greater Columbus, Ohio 15 county surrounding area for VITAS Healthcare a national provider of hospice services. In this role we have created a culture of caring and support and have some of the lowest turnover in our organization. I am also active in all our associations participating on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Health Care Association as Vice Chair. I have also been involved on the legislative front in Ohio helping pass HB120 into law testifying on its behalf on several occasions at the state capital. Secured for our Ohio workforce $805,000 dollars of ARPA monies through HB 45. One of two Level V "We honor our Veterans" hospices in the state.

Helping/assisting, skilled nursing, hospice and rehabilitation providers become more effective and efficient in their approach with meeting their health care delivery. Also working/assisting health organizations with acquisitions and acquisition strategies. Partnering with "not-for-profit "as well as "for profit long-term care and hospital based entities". Providing consulting assistance (survey, physician/hospital development, operations, interim work, profitability, program and census growth strategies) Companies assisting or assisted National Church Residences (NCR), MGM Healthcare, UNC Hospital System, Sanctuary Health Network, Rex Hospital Systems, Presbyterian Homes of Pa, Vanguard, Cornerstone Health of NC, Fatima Partners International and Methodist Homes.

Responsible for oversight of the Senior Care Division. Capital Health Care is a provider of long-term care health communities.During this period successfully improved state surveys decreasing number of citations from prior year. Several care centers having deficiency free survey results. Improved star ratings in several care centers as well during this period. Improved RUGs distribution and Part B caseload development within all centers from rehabilitative background. Improved and changed culture, reputations, marketability, care as well as clinical programming with all centers working toward goal of preferred provider and employer in the centers markets. Also changed all medical directors and added specialized doctors which had also helped improved rehospitalization rates as well as enhanced clinical programs to improve census and deal with complex disease states.

Oversight of "Award Winning" Ohio LTC Operations for Covenant Care who is a provider of short and long-term stays with extensive rehabilitative focus. In 2010 Springfield, Ohio location recognized by the Better Business Bureau in Washington, DC for Marketplace Excellence. Six Ohio operations also received national "Bronze Level" recognition through AHCA for Quality Care. Also in 2011 and 2012 several buildings and individuals recognized for programs and achievement at OHCA award ceremony. Facilities also exceeded EBITDAR budget for 2010, 2011 and 2012. During tenure four facilities also had "deficiency free" surveys in 2009, 2010 and 2012. Also from 2010 to 2011 increased skilled admissions by 200 for this same period. Ohio facilities have maintained and won Covenant Care Chairman's award in 2009, 2010 and 2011 which is Covenant Care's highest honor for performance excellence. Two facilities have also been featured in "Provider Magazine" regarding our care, services and customer focus!

Responsible for oversight of all North Carolina Nursing Home operations for 1,379 dually certified beds 11 facilities throughout the state and part of Virginia. During this period successfully improved state surveys decreasing number of citations from prior year. One of the lowest HDI (Health Deficiency Index) in the company for 2006.Met and maintained all budget expectations for 2006 fiscal year. Improved premium mix primarily through increasing Medicare and Managed Care focus by 53 ADC residents over prior year, area was number 4 in company in rank of 38 districts for this business driver. Improved RUGs distribution and Part B caseload development within all centers from rehabilitative background. Improved reputations, marketability, care with some centers working toward goal of preferred provider and employer in the centers markets. Left Golden Living to move back to Ohio to be closer to aging family.

Responsible for strategic growth and positioning of regional contract rehabilitation company for aquisition. More than doubled company size within this period of time through implementation of internal structures and systems to enable company expansion while also leveraging relationships to assist organization's desired outcomes.

Senior Vice President for $400 million division of national rehabilitation provider. Responsibilities include oversight of 400 contracts, 5 divisions and 22 states. Responsible for strategic planning/positioning, budget adherence and growth on a national level. Was instrumental in both growing the external rehab business as well as managing the service levels to Sun's in-house SNFs in a manner that helped them achieve their business and rehab service goals.

Started career with Horizon as administrator and was chosen administrator of the year in 1992 from over 200 care centers throughout the country. Was promoted to Division President and assisted Horizon Healthcare in starting their rehabilitation company which grew to become the largest provider of rehab. services in the country through natural growth and aquisition.
