Started up the Oregon office for the company.Technical lead for Software projects in the Oregon office.Debugged Problems with the RARP protocol stack of TCP/IP protocol port to SPOX OS. Debugged with an ICE due to the only other communicationspossible were over TCP/IP, which was non-functional.System Engineered generic parser software package to take in various types of messages,parse and extract desired data, correlate the data from various related messages, andreport the desired data to the user.Designed and implemented the embedded software for the generic parser to be userspecifiable on the input and output message types and format and on the data correlation.Wrote the application code for the generic parser in C and C++ on Sun Solarisworkstation. This application read in the system configuration files, tasked up theembedded code, collected and stored the output data to the appropriate files, and acted asan interface agent for the GUI, if the GUI is used.Finished the coding and debugging of the GUI for the generic parser. Coded in Java, theGUI allowed for user customisation, parser controls, saving and restoring user selections,and display of live data as it was collected and processed.Ported the generic parser to an existing application to give the existing application thefunctionality designed and implemented for the original job.Generic parser was one of the programs the company used for reaching SEI level 2.Wrote embedded code for the 860, 2400 and 2700 family of Power PC cards. Latest projecthad an 860 PPC card on the PCI bus of a 2400 or 2700 PPC, with both cards using VxWorksOS. The 860 card was used as a multiple E1/T1 I/O card for the 2400/2700 card. The jobinvolved programming the chips on the 860 card to control the data format and direction,and passing the data through the PCI bus to the mother card.Handled the IT work for the Oregon office on the system Sun workstations and PCs.
