Immigration Inspector
Interviewed persons seeking entry into the United States at airport and seaports. Inspected official documents; passports, visas, visa waivers, visaed crew lists and alien resident cards using various technical means including white light, UV light, microscopic examination, watermark examination, security feature examination, and specialized computer programs to determine their admissibility by encoding each individual using a classified Service Oriented Lookout Book (SLOB). Encoded and decoded information contained within the (SLOB) for each inspection.Issued shore passes and visa waivers to crew in accordance with Federal rules and regulations.Detained persons ineligible for entry and completed a secondary investigation as needed.Compiled various reports of both my activities and decisions and submitted to the Supervisory Inspector in charge. Collected and compiled intelligence data for a watch list of prohibitive and suspected individuals who were either denied entry or had other actions taken as a result of the information coded in the classified (SLOB) document. This information was then added to Intelligence Data Report and submitted to the supervisor or to a specific agency for immediate action.Qualified to carry a firearm according to AM4210.03/04 under the Department of Justice (DoJ) and powers to arrest and detain individuals.Completed any and all necessary reports to complete an air or ship inspection, such as Vessel Intelligence Report, and Motor Vehicle Mileage Report.Used and maintained classified materials in the day-to-day inspections of persons seeking to enter, reside in, or pass through the United States. Performed other duties as assigned.Security Clearance: Sensitive
