My name is Mark Leibowitz and I am the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at AppStar Financial, a leader in the electronic payments industry. As an Analyst in the M&A department, I not only ran models and created presentations for corporate finance deals and IPO’s, but I gained a valuable perspective of how corporate America operated. My extensive financial background led me to National Bankcard Association in 1994 where I served as their Chief Financial Officer. After identifying a stronger opportunity for recurring revenue focused on merchant processing solutions, I successfully raised money for the organization and became their Chief Executive Officer in 1996. Under my leadership, National Bankcard tripled in size and was acquired by Fifth Third Bank in 2001. The following year, I continued upon my success in the merchant processing industry by founding AppStar Financial. Processing over $1B per year, we are proud to provide small to medium-sized retail, home, and Internet merchants with the highest quality payment processing solutions including credit, debit, EBT, check, and gift cards.
