I was hired as a Maintenance Mechanic “B” along with keeping the plant running and producing product, I was also responsible for the installations of the systems at customer’s facilities. When FP International instituted the air technology machines I was recruited to do the field service work for the new packaging equipment that I was also installing at new customers. I did this for several years until there were enough machines in New England to support a full time Field Service Tech. As the only Maintenance Tech in-house I was responsible for the entire plant. And all it’s equipment, I also instituted a PM program for all the Equipment. Troubled shoot and repair all equipment, parts ordering, and scheduling safety inspections for systems in the plant, Boilers, Explosion Suppression System, and Fire Systems.
