Represented the 2nd Ward of the City of Muscatine. Current population of approximately 23,000 citizens.Managed a 70+ million dollar budget.Worked to achieve the following:1. Implemented a curbside recycling program (2011)2. Reduced the landfill deficit from 2.5 million dollars to 1 million dollars3. Reorganized the Convention & Visitors Bureau and increased funding to 25% of the Hotel/Motel Tax revenues4. Helped develop the city's 10-year Comprehensive Plan5. Increased General Fund as a percentage of expenditures from 10.3% in FY 2010 to 15% in FY 2013 while cutting taxes by .10 per $1000 valuation in FY2012.
