Privileged to be asked to lead the Department on an interim basis undertaking a wide ranging strategic review culminating in a confirmed appointment in March 2018.A diverse and hugely important team whose mission is ‘to create an environment , through innovation and collaboration, where the economy thrives’. Established four executive agencies - operating as public private partnerships focused on Finance, Digital, Business and Visit supporting the four main economic pillars with responsibility for promotion, product development and policy input. Additionally created a central strategy and policy function with responsibility for enterprise support, inward investment and skills and central policy and legislation. Complemented by three main Registries - Ship, Aircraft and Central Registries and the Motorsport team whose responsibility includes the world famous TT Races.Priorities include :- working with the Minister / Members and the four executive agencies on a day to day basis in conjunction with industry to support the Islands many sectors and deliver long term sustainable economic growth at a national level.- working with the Minister and the new Administration as the Programme for Government is developed, ultimately supporting our vision for "Our Island - a special place to live and work".- working with staff, industry and politicians to initially review, then deliver a new modern Department fit for the future against a changing landscape based on a core strategic policy function and executive agency model ensuring we deliver constant programmes to respond to and harness economic opportunity.Privileged to have such a wide ranging and great team doing significant things each day - serving the public of the Isle of Man!Looking forward to the journey ahead......

Senior Director within Isle of Man Government responsibility for leading the central technology shared service which runs the technology estate and systems, delivers a wide range of technology programmes, infrastructure and architecture and is responsible for challenging and defining the vision for using technology to enable strategic outcomes.Led the creation of Government's Digital Strategy and responsible for driving the forward digital transformation working across the whole of Government.
